Q. Why can't I see the online puzzle?
A. In order to play the online puzzles you should optimally have the following 3 items enabled on your browser of choice:
- JavaScript
- Java 1.4 or better
- Cookies
With most modern web browsers these features are automatically enabled by default, so there's usually nothing to do. However, in some cases these services must be explicitly enabled. Therefore, you should refer to your web browser's preferences or options and enable the 3 services listed above.
Q. Why is the online puzzle only partially visible?
A. In some cases the online java applet embedded in the puzzle page does not refresh properly. This can be fixed by using on or more of the following remedies:
With the puzzle positioned in the center of your window.
- Resize the web browsers window by dragging the sizing handles.
- Use the windows minimize and maximize buttons.
- Click and release the date dropdown above the puzzle sometimes works.
- Send the window to the back and bring to the front again.
- Press the "Start" button on the puzzle
Q. Where is the print version of the puzzle?
A. Each puzzle page has a link to a "Print Version" of the puzzle. Look for the adobe pdf icon, either in the sidebar or directly above or below the puzzle.
